What Should I Pay Attention To When Maintaining A Quartz Stone Countertop?

1. Although quartz stone has a hard texture and is not easy to scratch, with a water absorption rate of only 0.02%, it is not easy to penetrate because quartz stone is a die-casting artificial stone slab with a density of up to 2.3g/m3. Some manufacturers will also carry out surface anti fouling treatment. Do not use a sharp tool to scratch for a long time. Scratches on the countertop that are too deep can damage the protective layer and cause bacterial growth problems.

2. Quartz stone board is made of quartz sand, resin, and a small amount of additives. Do not leave hot pots and other heat vessels for a long time, as the temperature of the heat vessel is much higher than 100 degrees. This may cause the quartz stone countertop to crack or leave traces at the bottom. If necessary, insulation pads should be used.

3. To prevent substances such as oil, salt, sauce, vinegar from splashing onto the countertop, the countertop needs to be cleaned in a timely manner. Please use a cutting board when cutting vegetables. Quartz stone has a high hardness and can cause scratches or blunt edges when cutting vegetables. If the knife mark is left carelessly, gently wipe the surface with 180-400 mesh sandpaper according to the depth of the knife mark, and then use Scouring pad for treatment.

4. When cleaning, do not use wire balls to cause friction and cleaning back and forth. Instead, use our clean water for treatment. For oil fume stains, neutral detergent or soapy water can be used, and after cleaning, a cloth should be used to wipe them dry. Quartz stone should avoid contact with strong chemicals. Common strong chemicals in families include paint remover, metal cleaner, stove cleaner, methylene chloride, acetone (nail polish remover) and strong acid cleaner. If you are exposed to these chemicals, be sure to use a large amount of soapy water to clean the countertop.

5. If the same product is used differently, it can also result in a certain difference in service life. Extending the lifespan of a product is inseparable from daily care and upkeep. Quartz stone prices are relatively high among cabinet countertop materials, so you should carefully read the user manual before use. Remember not to cut, chop, or chop directly on the quartz stone board, and also regularly maintain it.
